London’s South Bank has become the UK’s leading media cluster.
Union Street Partners reports that media and media-related companies have accounted for 34% of all take-up in South Bank since 2009.
This take-up equates to 1.67m sq ft of office space.
Union Street Partners is the 50/50 joint venture between Farebrother and Tuckerman.
Recent deals include: Omnicom, who in October, completed a deal for 370,000 sq ft at Bankside 2 and 3.
In 2009, companies from these sectors accounted for 13% of total take-up; in 2013 this rose to 51%.
