A scheme to redevelop Shepherdess House in Old Street has been approved.
Schroder UK Property Fund want to refurbish the current 1980s building and create 130,000 sq ft of office space. This will involve extending the building by 50,000 sq ft.
This redevelopment will increase the amount of office space available in the Old Street area; home of the Capital’s ‘Silicon Roundabout’ and a centre of excellence for creative, technology companies.
The new scheme will also have a provision of cycle storage, showers and lockers as well as a landscaped courtyard.
The work is due to completed by the start of 2017.
The refurbishment work is being designed by architects BuckleyGrayYeoman.
