Maris’ construction team are taking part in The Eikon Business Challenge.
The Eikon charity aims to provide socially and economically disadvantaged young people with the support and skills they need to overcome challenges and fulfil their potential in later life.
Our office construction team have signed up to ride the London Surrey 100 Mile ride for the Eikon Charity on 2nd Aug 2015. This is no mean feat as they are all basically non cyclists; but must complete in 7.5 hours the Olympic route through London and Surrey, and at the half way point taking in the fearsome climbs at Box Hill, Leith Hill and Newlands Corner.
Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this event starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park then follows a 100 mile route on closed roads throughout the capital and into Surrey’s beautiful countryside. With challenging climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, this is truly a spectacular event for all involved.
We supported the Eikon Charity last year by refurbishing and providing new furniture for their offices. The end result was truly stunning. We will continue to work closely with this truly excellent charity as they support young people and help build better lives.
We are trying to raise as much money as possible for the charity and any and all donations are appreciated!
