Maris Consolidate Four Offices For Wilsons Solicitors
Maris are pleased to announce the commencement on site at Alexandra House, New Street, Salisbury SP1 2PJ for one of the country’s top private law firms, Wilsons Solicitors.
Wilsons has been based in Salisbury since its founding in 1731. The firm’s continued growth over the last 20 years has seen them expand into four premises. The decision was made to relocate everyone to a single location in the City centre following lease expiry’s on some of their existing properties.
Wilsons have taken 31,000 square feet spread over 3 floors of Alexandra House, the former premises of the Crown Court and Inland Revenue.
Maris created a design scheme that will see the ground floor transformed into a spectacular Reception, Boardroom and Meeting Suite, with the first and second floors split into departmental sections – each to include offices for fee-earners and the remainder open plan.
Maris are working consecutively with the Landlord / Developer, who are currently carrying out Category A works to the floors, to ensure the Category B fit-out runs as smoothly as possible.
Jonathan Stephens, Managing Partner of Wilsons Solicitors, says of the move, “We are absolutely delighted to be moving to Alexandra House. The move signifies our commitment to our clients and our staff by streamlining our operations, improving communication between our teams and providing much improved facilities. Alexandra House will provide us with about 31,000sq ft of modern office accommodation. Opportunities like this come up very rarely in Salisbury so we were very fortunate to be able to make this”.
Maris’ Project Director commented, “We were awarded this project due to our vast experience of Cat A and Cat B office design and fit-out projects and fitting out projects of this complexity. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to work with the leading legal practice in Salisbury”.
