Maris Interiors have recently completed an office design and relocation project for Peter Bedford Housing Association.
This project involved the creation of a new ‘Kingsland Hub’ for the Peter Bedford Housing Association which was opened by Meg Hillier, MP for Hackney South and Shoreditch.
We have created areas which are flexible and can be used in different ways, optimising the use of space. The area is a mix of closed and open meeting spaces, ranging from closed private 1 to 1 meetings, to more relaxed informal meetings. Writeable surfaces encourage sharing and collaboration in both the working environment and training spaces.
The reception and café occupy the same zone, the entrance to the community hub. The reception desk and backdrop are formed in timber. The idea was to use reclaimed and upcycled materials, timber floor and exposed services along with paint and simple graphics to create a warm, natural space, which is both welcoming and comfortable.
Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA) is an Industrial and Provident Society with charitable status which works with socially excluded adults in North East London. A pioneer of supported housing, they have been inspiring brighter futures for over forty years. They achieve this through the provision of supported housing alongside a wide range of vocational and community based training opportunities and other activities in some of London’s most deprived areas.
