Maris Awarded A Second Office Fit-Out By Sandell Asset Management

Maris are pleased to announce their second office design and fit-out project for Sandell Asset Management Corporation on the 5th Floor of 42-44 Grosvenor Gardens, London, SW1.

Sandell Asset Management Corporation is a leading, private, alternative asset management company specialising in international multi-strategy investments. The firm was founded in 1998 by Tom Sandell and has offices in New York and London.

Maris previously partnered with Sandell 5 years ago when they relocated their offices from Curzon Street to 50 Pall Mall.

The Maris workplace project team even travelled to Sandell’s New York office to ensure we replicated their corporate image in London.

A leasebreak at 50 Pall Mall, triggered Sandell’s decision to relocate their office again and Maris joined them in their building search.

After viewing 6 prospective office buildings Sandell chose 42-44 Grosvenor Gardens, a 5 storey, Grade II listed property with a distinguished 19th Centruy façade.

Maris’ pro-active approach to the building search aided the final selection of a property that saves Sandell 33% on their net lettable floor area, a key objective of their brief.

The scope of works for the office fit-out included the creation of a meeting room, private office and tea point whilst the remainder of the worksplace is to be used as a trading floor.

This Cat B office fit-out includes high quality finishes throughout, with the Reception area boasting stone clad walls and marble floors.

As Sandell wanted to incorporate items from their existing office, including a bespoke conference table and all trading desks, Maris ensured the workplace design was sympathetic to these items.
