It is with great sadness that we have to report the loss of our much-loved colleague, Kevin Heffernan who died on Sunday 27th March 2016 at the age of 49.
Kevin was passionate about his work and his life and was devoted to his wife Patricia and his son Sam.
He was an outstanding Construction Manager, with a well-earned reputation for delivering large and complex projects across a broad section of industries.
Kevin trained as a Quantity Surveyor and spent the early part of his career working as a Commercial Surveyor on major projects at Terminals 3 and 4 at Heathrow Airport and for British Airways. This was followed by 5 years as a Finance Manager at Interior PLC (ICI, ExxonMobil, Cameron McKenna) and 8 years as a Senior Project Manager for Ibex PLC (BBC, Centrica, Red Bull).
He joined Maris in April 2008 and quickly established himself as a senior and highly respected Construction Manager. He successfully delivered many of Maris’ most prestigious fit-out projects, including projects for AXA, FremantleMedia, Notting Hill Housing Trust and Age UK. In 2010 he deservedly won the Maris Construction Star of the Year award.
Kevin built his reputation on hard work, loyalty and dedication to his colleagues and clients. We were blessed to have known and to have worked with him. We will mourn his death, but celebrate the way in which he lived his life.
