Maris have successfully completed a second office design and relocation project for HarbourVest Partners.
HarbourVest Partners is a leading global private equity investment firm with a long history of innovation and success.
Maris have designed and fitted-out nearly 11,000 sq ft of office space at 33 Jermyn Street in London Piccadilly. It was important for HarbourVest to move away from a traditional hierarchical arrangement.
The concept for the Tea Point / Breakout is to create a space that feels very different from both the front of house and work space. In this space the ceiling has been removed to expose the services not only increasing the height of the space but creating a more industrial feel to rival the professional / corporate feel found in the rest of the space. Elements such as the breakfast bar, stools and pendant lighting with a mixture of wood, steel and grey gloss finishes, help shift the mood from office space to café / coffee shop space.
Tucked away at the top end of the office is the Library, a space where staff can come to work in a quiet environment when required. The Library area includes desk space so staff can work there for long periods of time as well as a large bespoke bookcase for storing necessary documents. The Library sits at the far end of the left elevation meaning that, together with the breakout and lounge areas, it benefits from the best views and natural light making it a pleasant workspace.
Maris Interiors have previously worked with HarbourVest at Berkeley Square House where they undertook the office refurbishment of their previous office space. It was a pleasure to be able to work with an existing Client and continue to build upon a great relationship.
