What would your dream office look like?
To some it might be a desk perched on a tropical beach somewhere, while to others it would simply be a pub. Others might like the idea of an office on the top floor of a London skyscraper.
But what would your dream office tools be? According a recent survey – very far-fetched indeed.
A very popular idea was a clone to help get everything done in the day. (Although the clone might have other ideas about this.) Another frequent suggestion was a place where napping is allowed, a cushioned room to grab a little slumber in.
One sun-starved office worker suggested a device to generate its own natural sunlight. On the surface it might just sound like a window, but it could actually be a winner for those short winter days.
“I like the sunlight idea,” admits David Cannon, Managing Director of workplace designers Maris Interiors. “Maybe that’s something for scientists to aim for in 2030. I think no office should have a room without a decent window. I’ll have to ask my clone what he thinks!”
