Maris Selected for Phase 2 at Inner Temple

April 2010

Maris Interiors are pleased to announce the completion of Phase 1 of their work at Middle Temple Lane on behalf of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. Phase 1 included the refurbishment of 1 Harcourt Buildings to provide a contemporary designed conference suite and office accommodation for the clerks and barristers of Temple Garden Chambers. As part of the works extensive engineering and demolition was carried out to provide larger rooms on the ground floor and a new entrance to the stunning reception. The lift serving the building was also replaced as part of the project and all works were carried out with remaining parts of the building fully occupied, both as office and residential use.

The completion of Phase 1 and relocation of Temple Garden Chambers coincided with their rebranding and re-launch. Comments received about the new accommodation have been extremely positive.

The second phase of this highly complex project has now begun and this includes the replacement of the lift in 2 Harcourt which provides a new entrance at Ground Floor Level to make the lift suitable for wheelchair use.

Maris' Project Director commented, “The site team on this project has been tested on a daily basis to keep progress maintained whilst keeping the residents and occupiers happy within the building. The result and the comments received on the finished spaces is a testament to their hard work and dedication. Their “can do” attitude is the key component in the success of this project.”
