February 2012
Maris are delighted to announce their appointment by Old Ford Housing Association to undertake the office design and office fit-out of two new premises following their relocation from temporary offices in East London.
Old Ford, which is part of the Circle Group, was set up in 1998 as the successor to Tower Hamlets Housing Association Trust.
The first fit-out project sees the creation of Old Ford’s first permanent Headquarters in Solar House, 1-9 Romford Road, London E15 4LJ. This 11,000 square feet Category B office refurbishment will be carried out in tandem with the Landlord’s refurbishment of Solar House. Maris have created a workplace design scheme comprising of six offices, three meeting rooms, a tea point / breakout area and comms room with the remaining floor space housing an open plan call centre.
The second fit-out project at 69 Fairfield Road, London E3 2QA, houses Old Ford’s Contact Centre. This Ground floor space is currently a shell and core and Maris will carry out a full Category A and Category B fit-out including the installation of all windows and doors. This 8,000 square feet space will be split into two areas the first being the front of house, which will include a Reception area, five tenant liaison rooms and four customer service desks and the second being the back office which will consist of open plan workstations for support staff and internal meeting rooms.
Maris’ Project Director commented, “Old Ford is a progressive Housing Association that doesn’t just concentrate on housing needs but also on enhancing life chances. It was Maris’ understanding of this belief that led to us successfully securing these prestigious office design and fit-out projects. Maris is delighted to be a part of creating Old Ford’s first permanent home and new high performance workplace.”
