Maris Commence Heron Tower Office Fit-Out

Maris are delighted to announce their appointment by, chemical giant, BASF AG for the office design and office-fit out for chemical giant BASF AG at Heron Tower, 110 Bishopsgate, London EC2N 4AY.
Engelhard Corporation was acquired by BASF AG in 2006 and are relocating from 63 St Mary Axe to the 21st floor of the 40 floor iconic skyscraper, the Heron Tower. Their relocation is due to the development plans at 63 St Mary Axe and a decision was taken to exercise their lease break in light of these works.
The Heron Tower, also referred to as 110 Bishopsgate, was developed by Heron International and designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, one of the most respected architectural design practices in the world. The whole building comprises of approximately 461,000 sq ft with office accommodation up to the 37th floor, and the uppermost 3 floors occupied as a restaurant with sky bar and terracing.
Maris are carrying out the subdivision of the 21st floor on behalf of the Landlord Heron Properties, to create a demise of which Engelhard will occupy half. The space has been designed around the open plan trading floor, a vital component to both Engelhard and BASF for the trading of precious metals. The remainder of the demise incorporates Executive Offices, Reception, Tea Point and Comms Room. Close monitoring and discussions with BASF’s dedicated Information Technology Team has been required to ensure the link between the London office and the German headquarters is installed on time and properly tested.
