Third Office Design & Fit-Out Project for Kier

Maris are delighted to announce the commencement of their third office design and fit-out project for construction giant Kier Group at the Tungsten Building, Blythe Valley Park, Solihull.
Kier Group is a leading construction, development and service group specialising in building and civil engineering, support services, public and private house building, property development and the Private Finance Initiative. The Group employs over 11,000 people worldwide and has an annual revenue of £2.1bn.
Having previously carried out the turnkey office design and refurbishment of both Kier’s London and Bromley offices, Maris are now designing and fitting-out the prestigious new regional headquarters offices in Birmingham for Kier Midlands.
Kier Moss and Kier Partnership Homes will occupy the entire two storey, self contained, Tungsten Building in Blythe Valley Park, Solihull, covering 23,000 square feet.
Kier required a workplace solution to consolidate their smaller regional offices into one space. Kier are keen to encourage their staff to communicate and Maris’ office design solution includes a functional training and meeting suite, a large cafe area and a collaboration area to allow for optimal communication within the space. The outstanding workspace will incorporate an open plan design, providing ‘hot desking’ and ‘touch down’ facilities for Kier’s visiting team members from across the regions.
Maris’ Project Director commented, “We are delighted to be working alongside Kier on another office design and fit-out project. Kier set us the challenge of assessing their workspace and we quickly determined that the available workspace within the Tungsten building would allow Kier to use key areas for training purposes and in turn take advantage of a more efficient way of working”.
