Office Relocation for CE Europe to the Metro Buiding

May 2011

Maris are pleased to announce the commencement of the office fit-out for CE Europe Ltd, who are relocating offices to the Metro Building, Hammersmith, London, W6.

CE Europe Ltd was established in 2002 is a London based subsidiary of Capcom Co. Ltd - the world leading Japanese International developer and publisher of video games.

Maris are relocating CE Europe’s London operations from their present offices in George House, 26-28 Hammersmith Grove to Hammersmith’s Metro Building.

The Metro Building is a classic, modern office building boasting a stunning ground floor entrace hall with limestone floor, double-height ceiling and polished Italian plaster walls and glass façade. The buiding comprises 11 floors and covers 106,000 square feet.

Ideally situated in the centre of Hammersmith and close to West London amenities, CE Europe join a long list of Market leaders that have chosen to relocate to Hammersmith including AOL, Coca Cola, Walt Disney, EMI, L’Oreal and Sony Ericsson.

Maris’ office design scheme took into consideration both the nature of CE Europe’s business and the personalities of their staff. The Client’s vision of how they would like their new offices to look and feel included descriptions such as”smart casual” and “fun” and the quality of life for their staff was of utmost importance.

Maris’ created a workplace solution that took into consideration that, although the main working areas are predominantly open plan, some departments are quieter than others therefore the adjacencies were paramount. Maris’ design scheme included open plan rectangular desking for 80 staff, 6 meeting rooms (four with large screens), 2 Executive offices, a large staff breakout room Comms room with 2 cabinets and separate Reception area.

Maris’ Project Director commented, “We initially starting working with Capcom over a year ago when they were looking at a different building. Although our first scheme was never realised, we certainly are pleased that they ended up in The Metro Building. It’s a great building for the unique type of visually-stimulating environment they want to create. The project also includes a large element of stripping out and renewing of “Cat A” base build features such as ceilings, lighting, carpets, air conditioning, toilet facilities etc. Because the “Cat B” tenant fitting out works are being undertaken concurrently with the Cat A refurbishment, the client is benefitting from a reduced programme period and significant cost economies that together with a highly creative design solution will make this project a resounding success.”
