Office Refurbishment for Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust

April 2011

Maris are pleased to announce their commencement of the office refurbishment for the Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust at Fairfax House, Buckingham Street , Aylesbury.

The Trust is a ‘not for profit’ housing association formed following the transfer of 7250 homes, 2400 garages and 40 shops for Aylesbury Vale District Council in 2006. The Trust has an annual turnover of L32 million and 190 employees.

The office refurbishment is programmed to last until October and has been designed to ensure the Trust is open for business as usual throughout.

The Trust’s decision to refurbish Fairfax House followed the completion of a L100 million investment programme in their tenant’s homes and the desire to offer their 7500 Vale residents access to improved services and facilities.

The L2m office refurbishment plan will include essential infrastructure works to the lift, roof and the buildings plumbing and heating systems.

Maris have worked alongside the Trust to develop a ‘get back into shape’ plan encompassing a revamped and larger client reception area, the installation of private customer meeting rooms and improvements to the public areas and customer contact centre.

Matthew Applegate, Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust Chief Executive, commented, “We have worked hard to keep our promises to residents and made signficant improvements to their homes. It’s now time to get our own house in order and make sure that we have facilities that meet the needs of our residents and enable us to deliver a first class service”.
