Maris Commence Office Relocation for Plan International

Maris Interiors is delighted to announce the commencement on site of an office design and fit-out project for Plan International at Dukes Court, Dukes Street, Woking, GU21 5BH.
Founded over 70 years ago, Plan International is one of the oldest and largest children’s development organisations in the world, working in 50 developing countries across the globe to promote child rights and bring millions of children out of poverty.
Following a lease expiry at Plan’s office in Chobham House, Christchurch Way, Woking and the requirement to expand and provide a springboard for their expected growth, Plan teamed up with CBRE and located 25,000 square feet of prime office space in the iconic landmark building, Dukes Court.
The scope of works includes the workplace design and office fit-out of the Upper Ground, First and Second Floors of the building. The Upper Ground Floor will house a new reception area and meeting suite fully equipped with an integrated audio visual system. The First Floor will incorporate a large breakout area, additional meeting rooms with the rest of the space being open plan. The Second Floor will be home to Plan’s extensive Communications facility which, runs the entire global network.
Maris created a workplace design solution to allow Plan the much need meeting space their previous office didn’t allow and which Plan felt was holding back their business due to the lack of facilities for knowledge sharing. Maris’s scheme branded each floor as a continent in which Plan are working – Africa, The Americas, The Far East.
