Office Refurbishment for KBC at Old Broad Street
September 2010
Maris Interiors are delighted to announce the commencement of our sixth office refurbishment project at 111 Old Broad Street for KBC, one of the largest Belgian Investment banks.
Maris have already completed five major office design and office refurbishment projects, three of them within one year, and a number of adaptations at the Old Broad Street offices - the largest being a major re-stack over 54,000 sq ft and the design and build of a 10,000 sq ft meeting suite with full kitchen facility, covering the buildings six floors with a programme of 32 weeks.
The latest office refurbishment project is a reconfiguration of the third and fourth floors to ensure FSA Regulations regarding departmental separations are met. Maris provided workplace consultancy and has designed a scheme to make the best use of the office space available to ensure security requirements are adhered to and to also allow for future expansion. Staff at KBC Bank, will see new cellular meeting rooms and open plan offices over the two floors.
The works will be phased in order to ensure business continuity, and to minimise disruption to KBC staff, certain works will be undertaken at night and at weekends.
Brian Collings, KBC’s UK Managing Director commented, “As one of the world’s leading investment banks it is imperative that our staff can continue to work in-situ and unhindered during the projects. Having worked with Maris before, we are confident of the company’s ability to deliver impressive finished offices whilst leaving KBC staff free to follow our customers’ interests.”
Maris’ Design Director, commented, “Maris were delighted to be invited by KBC to take on this major office refurbishment project. Our continued relationship with them, coupled with the excellent knowledge we have of 111 Old Broad Street, put us in prime position to carry out yet another successful office fit out project for a this long standing client.”
