Gatenby Sanderson Award Maris Office Refurbishment
August 2010
Maris are delighted to announce our recent commencement of the office refurbishment for Gatenby Sanderson at 12 Appold Street, London.
Gatenby Sanderson initially investigated a potential office relocation but opted to enter into a new 10 year lease at their Appold Street offices and have partnered with Maris to undertake the office design and to carry out an in-situ office refurbishment of the 3,600 sq ft space within a 3 week programme.
The key to this office refurbishment project was in the detailed Workplace Analysis of the company’s culture and working practices to ensure that growth and an increase in projected headcount could be achieved. There was a fundamental need to ensure that the client facing areas would not be compromised as the headcount increases and the office design and planning of the property was meticulously sympathetic to this.
The project required extensive mechanical infrastructure (HVAC) works to correct an existing faulty air-conditioning system and Maris demonstrated complete understanding of both the mechanical and electrical workings of 12 Appold Street and value engineered the project to deliver an economic solution.
The office design and fit out delivers a modern and professional flair, with a warm, friendly and welcoming feel and a seamless finish that will stand the test of time.
Maris Project Director commented, “Gatenby Sanderson were impressed by our office design proposal and expertise for undertaking in-situ office refurbishments and also our experience within the recruitment sector. We created a workplace solution that would allow for expansion and accommodate their main requirement to divide the client ‘front of house’ area from the staff area. Gatenby Sanderson’s vision was to achieve a high quality and conservative look and feel that mirrors the organisations and individuals who benefit from their services. We created their vision and a wonderful relationship during the process.”
