Another Office Design and Fit-Out Project for Nustar Energy
September 2010
Following a comprehensive period of workplace consultancy and office design Maris have recently commenced the office fit-out works for Nustar Energy on the 2nd Floor of One Connaught Place, London.
The newly refurbished, Grade A office building is ideally situated in the heart of the West End, with far-reaching views over Hyde Park.
Headquartered in America, NuStar required a permanent London location in which to host their overseas based Executives and serve as both a hot office and eventually a place for permanent staff.
NuStar are currently based in serviced offices, whilst Maris completes the office fit-out of their 4,000 sq ft new workspace.
The workplace design scheme created by Maris provides a modern, welcoming and productive office space which portrays NuStar as a global entity but also creates a ‘good place’ to work. Due to the nature of the space, NuStar required a reception area that made a statement about the image of the company and had a strong sense of identity and branding.
The workspace will include a stunning Reception area and Boardroom, with the remainder of the floor consisting mainly of cellurised offices. The technical specification includes the installation of a ground source water cooled comms room and the transistion from Category A to Category B throughout.
Due to previous knowledge of the building following a major office design and fit-out project for Spencer Stuart in 2000, and the relationships with other companies in the same industry, Maris were in an ideal position to carry out this prestigious office fit-out project for Nustar.
Maris’ Project Director, commented, “Through our discussions with NuStar, it became clear that they placed high expectations on the success of this office both to its occupants and its visitors. A key component of the company’s culture is its staff. Their position as No. 21 in the Forbes ‘best place to work’ is central to their success and the workplace that supports and promotes their business is the foundation for their development.”
