London Office Refurbishment for Technicolor
April 2009
Maris Interiors this week completed the office refurbishment at 141 Wardour Street, London, for Technicolor.
Tecnicolor, the film and creative services giant, who provided services to 5 of this year’s Oscar winners including "Slumdog Millionaire", “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “The Reader”.
Maris was the natural choice for Technicolor’s 6th floor office design, office fit-out and office refurbishment, following the successful completion of works in August 2008 for MPC (The Moving Picture Company) Technicolor’s visual effects division.
Maris worked with MPC on the complicated 3 phase, part-insitu office refurbishment of 4 floors at 141 Wardour Street.
The scope of works for Technicolor on the 6th floor included a full strip out and the installation of new cellularised offices, a main board room, meeting rooms, new carpets throughout and the use of glass partitioning to create an open plan feel, despite the largely cellularised office set up. Maris also liaised on behalf of Technicolor to gain license to alter from the building’s three Landlords!
Maris Interiors also supplied the office furniture for this project which included items such as a stylish Bené veneer topped meeting table and a classic black leather Corbusier sofa for the reception area.
Maris' Project Director commented, “Our excellent relationship with The Moving Picture Company and extensive knowledge of the building meant that we were really well placed to assist Technicolor in their fast track office refurbishment. Our specialisation in these types of highly focused office refurbishment projects meant that we were able to complete in just 3 weeks, both on time and on budget, with no disruption to the staff in occupation.”
