Client Background
RSSB (Rail Safety Standards Board) was established in April 2003.
The company’s primary objective is to facilitate the railway industry’s work to achieve continuous improvement in the health and safety performance of the railways in Great Britain, and thus to facilitate the reduction of risk to passengers, employees and the affected public.
Points of note
The new office is located at Angel Square, Islington and is spread across three floors.
Central to the ofice design and fit-out brief was ‘promoting communication’ and this was facilitated with a large meeting suite for visitors on the third floor and a centrally located ‘hub’ for the business to come together and interact on the second floor.
This office design and fit-out project was designed on green / sustainable principles where cost / benefit was measured against the term of the lease. The project was externally audited for a BREEAM assessment.
