Orion Engineering

Client Background

Established in Scotland in 1987, Orion Group has achieved consistent growth over the ensuing 28 years and is now an international leader in the provision of personnel to the engineering industry.

Points of note

Orion Engineering have relocated their offices to The Signal Building in London following rapid business expansion due to buoyant market conditions. The new office covers two floors with reception and boardroom on the second floor and main workspace on the first. We completed both CAT A and CAT B works and paid particular attention to providing a sustainable fit-out solution particularly through the use of recycled materials and energy efficient LED lighting.

Maris has created an urban commercial feel to the design by leaving services exposed and by working with the natural concrete superstructure of the building. We engaged in an extensive staff engagement process; consistently consulting with and addressing any concerns or queries about the potentially daunting process of completely changing your workplace. We also worked closely with the architect and developer to ensure we were persistently meeting the highest standards for quality and efficiency.

The Signal Building is a new mixed-use development in South London and part of the new gateway to the £1.5bn regeneration which is set to transform the Elephant & Castle. Comprising of high-end residential and office space the building is close to The Elephant & Castle and Waterloo mainline and tube stations and an array of buses offering access throughout central London and beyond. In fact The City, Borough Market and South Bank are all within walking distance. The Signal will act as a catalyst for the total transformation of Newington Causeway.
