Client Background

OMV Aktiengesellschaft is Austria’s largest listed industrial company. The Exploration and Production business segment has a strong base in Romania and Austria and a growing international portfolio.

Points of note

The brief was that the new office should be a workspace which will attract new talent and reflects the distinctive company identity. This was an office relocation project: OMV have recently experienced a large increase in headcount to the expansion of the business. The oil and gas company therefore took space at Land Securities’ 62 Buckingham Gate.

62 Buckingham Gate is located on the north side of Victoria Street. This twelve storey building is a new build and offers practical and flexible floor plates, it is a new 11 storey landmark mixed-use development.

Maris had already completed an office fit-out in the development and this put us in an unrivalled position to achieve Perfect Delivery. We had built up an excellent relationship with Land Securities, the developer as well as the project manager.

A formal approach was taken to the front of house space with bright, light and neutral finishes and modern conservative furniture. The open plan space encourages accidental interactions, project working and views across the floor. The shared areas should encourage conversation, integration and relaxation.
