Govia Thameslink Railway

Client Background

Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) is a train operating company that operates the TSGN rail franchise. Within the franchise, GTR runs the Thameslink and Great Northern, Southern and Gatwick Express airport services. Southern and Gatwick Express became part of GTR in July 2015, making it the largest rail franchise in terms of passengers, staff and fleet in the UK.

Points of note

Our office fit-out of two floors at Monument Place involved working closely with the executive and procurement teams to deliver a corporate HQ that met GTR’s rapidly expanding staff numbers.

The design process included challenging the Client’s current working culture and providing a more agile workspace. The introduction of a communal staff refectory, stand up meeting areas, high backed sofas and a flexible meeting suite allow staff to undertake daily activities in a tailor made environment

“I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank all at Maris Interiors who were involved in our office design and fit-out. The result is great and is already having a marked effect on those who were lucky enough to move here. Thank you again for your professional support in achieving, what for us was a hugely symbolic move in setting the tone for the future of our integrated businesses. ”
