Gorkana Group

Client Background

Gorkana, a Cision company, is a market leading media intelligence company. They serve the complete workflow of today’s communication professionals. Offering the industry’s most comprehensive PR, IR and social media software, rich analytics, content distribution, and influencer outreach, Gorkana enables clients to engage audiences, enhance campaigns and strengthen data-driven decision making.

Points of note

This project for the Gorkana Group centred around the consolidation of their old office portfolio; consisting of several separate workspaces in the Old Street area. We partnered with Gorkana to amalgamate these different spaces and relocate them east to Canary Wharf. This new office will result in more homogenous working practices, greater intra-business communication and a more ‘joined-up’ business. Additionally the move will promote a new business culture and help to continue to attract the Capital’s best marketing talent.

Gorkana have taken the seventh and part eighth floor at 5 Churchill Place. On the seventh floor we designed the reception desk and feature back wall to be angled to match the meeting suite, giving a more interesting design in keeping with the non-symmetrical building architecture. This also mirrors the angled wall in Cision’s Chicago office. A three quarter height wall with a low reception desk allows light to flow through from the external windows creating a more open and airy feel. Banquette seating with café style tables and chairs sit behind the reception feature wall and opposite the coffee bar providing a café style breakout area. The remainder of the workspace is open plan desking with strategically placed collaborative areas.

The design for the eighth floor is focused on the engineering team with additional meeting spaces and executive offices. The space is finished off with and a staff café / dining area using bold and bright colours.
