GANT

Client Background

GANT is the original American lifestyle brand with European sophistication, offering premium clothing, accessories and home furnishings for men, women and kids. Born in 1949 on the campuses of the American East Coast universities and raised in Europe, GANT enjoys a global presence in over 70 markets, 750 stores and 4,000 selected retailers.

Points of note

The clean interior of the building forms the perfect framework for GANT’s requirements. The white canvas is ready to be dressed and is timeless and flexible and enables key characteristics such as simplicity, minimalism and functionality to be used in the overall design using light wood and black metal finishes.

The concept gives the opportunity to zone the floor plate into the three key areas; front of house showrooms, communal breakout space and workspace. The front of house showrooms are stylish and linked visually to a gallery. The communal breakout space has a homely feel to it, dressed with soft seating and accessories while the working space is clean and functional.

“We were impressed with the thought that had been given in the design phase, even during the tender process, to the best use of the space and existing features of the building and, in particular, the way the Maris team quickly understood the desired brand ‘handwriting’ that we hoped to achieve. The project was completed on time and the consistent feedback from our staff and visitors is that they love the space and the aesthetic, which is a fantastic environment in which to showcase our brand. Together with the Maris team, we can all be proud of the result that has been achieved. ”
