Client Background
Betfair is one of the world’s largest international online sports betting providers and has twice been named the UK’s ‘Company of Year’ by the Confederation of British Industry.
Having rapidly risen from internet start-up in 2000 to market-leader, Betfair are now focused on “creating a better place to work” for their current employees and attracting new talent.
Points of note
The 75,000 square feet project, spanning over three floors of the 5 storey building, was carried out with 1,200 employees in occupation, with no business downtime and within an incredibly tight timescale. Our workplace design and optimisation scheme included collaborative spaces for informal meetings, secure areas, club lounges, radio and broadcast rooms and a newly refurbished restaurant.
Betfair were keen to engage the workforce in the office refurbishment process and we spent considerable time interviewing their internal Space Investment Committee to ensure the best understanding of their requirements.
