Age UK

Client Background

Age UK aims to improve Later Life for everyone: through their information and advice, services, campaigns, products, training and research. The charity was formed from the amalgamation of Age Concern and Help the Aged.

Points of note

Maris carried out an extensive scope of office fitting out and refurbishment works to transform the building into the functional, professional workspace desired by the Client and avoided unnecessary costs throughout the project by re-using materials and recycling.

The ground floor encompasses a conference suite, cafeteria and new entrance lobby, with the above floors housing both cellular and open plan office space.

The office building now benefits from 415 new windows, new internal heating and cooling to each floor. There was also a total power upgrade including a new EDF transformer and over 2,500 cat 5e data cables.
